Laurence Owen Ltd provides environmental engineering and building services design, from small scale consultancy and feasibility studies to large detailed designs.

With expertise across mechanical and electrical engineering and environmental design, founder and director Laurence Owen MEng CEng MIET MIMechE is a Chartered Engineer and a member of both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and The Institution of Engineering and Technology. His experience spans from concept to completion, from small-scale consultancy to £60m+ projects, and from Grade I listed buildings to an experimental pilot project in the Qatar desert and the first legacy project on the London Olympic Park.

Formerly a partner at leading building services consultants Max Fordham LLP, Laurence successfully led and delivered a number of exciting and challenging projects there including Westminster Abbey: The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries and Juergen Teller Studio. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries project (Ptolemy Dean Architects) includes both a new museum in the Triforium and a new tower for the public to access the Triforium which has been described as the Abbey’s "most significant addition since 1745". Juergen Teller Studio (6a Architects) won the RIBA London Building of the Year 2017 award and was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.
